I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
